Discreet but essential, he completed one Tour de France after another, tackling the legendary cols with unfailing determination. After a fine career marked by the respect of his peers and his love of the sport, he finally hung up his bike in 2023, leaving behind the memory of a fighting and generous rider!

WHAT'S YOUR BACKGROUND, MIKAËL?
We asked him:
“I've been lucky enough to evolve as a professional cyclist for 17 years, during which time I've taken part in some of the world's greatest races.
From the Tour de France to the famous classics, including races on varied and demanding terrain, I gained invaluable experience on both a sporting and human level.
At the end of my career, it seemed only natural to stay close to this world that has given me so much. I have therefore chosen to devote myself to supporting athletes, sharing my know-how and knowledge with those who wish to progress, structure their practice or simply rediscover the pleasure of riding. Whether it's through coaching, consultancy or mentoring, my aim is to help everyone achieve their ambitions, whether in terms of performance or well-being on the bike.”
WHAT KIND OF CYCLING DO YOU LIKE?
“Cycling is more than a sport for me, it's a way of life. Even if I don't train like I used to, I still love riding, discovering new routes and sharing outings with other enthusiasts.
The pleasure no longer lies solely in performance, but also in the feeling of freedom, contact with nature and those moments of conviviality that make cycling so unique.
Today, I take just as much satisfaction in passing on my experience as I do in simply enjoying the pleasure of pedaling, with no constraints, just for the taste of sport and sharing.”
