Dressing for Autumn cycling

We’re here at last, where summer gives way to autumn. But it’s not a time for depression. Okay, the leaves are starting to change colour, the temperatures are falling more and more, and the holidays are just a distant memory. But, let’s be positive! Thanks to technological advances in textiles, you can ride all year round! Autumn and spring are both pretty tough seasons to dress for and play sports. Chilly first thing but then too warm late morning….. Here’s how to dress for your autumn cycling

Clothes for autumn cycling

First, we advise you to wear lots of layers which can be removed as you heat up. So what should you wear for a chilly morning?

You start, of course, with a short-sleeved, seamlessbase layer, followed by jersey and shorts.

Then let’s take account of the weather, temperature and cloud cover. Add knee or leg warmers, as well as arm warmers if the weather is cool enough. You can remove them quickly once it heats up.

A windbreaker will fit over your jersey and provide protection from changes in temperature. Ride in ease. Our Flash jacket will be ideal if the weather is overcast with light rain – perfect for Breton drizzle!

Finally, we suggest you pop in your pocket our G4 Rain System Jacket which will protect you in the event of rain. Weighing a mere 170 grams, it will slip easily into your pocket!
