It is with great honor and pleasure that 10 years later I return to the roads of the Tour of Britain.
Story of a week in England!
The week begins with the arrival in the Promised Land of the new bike made in UK: Yorkshire, cycling has become a passion in this region since the big departure of the Tour! What a pleasure to ride with clubs and groups to share my passion and promote the G4 brand! See u Soon Yorkshire! G4 will be at the show expo cycle in Yorkshire next October!
After 2 beautiful days, the Tour of Britain started with a Team Time Trial, in the Lake District area! Beautiful natural site! What a pleasure to follow the race and the Tour of Britain, and to review some friends, riders, former riders and staff etc.!
I’m in the Vittoria team race car to attend the DRAPAC Team Chrono with their leader Tylor Phinney an unusual American personality! Fancy Chrono! 14km with the last 5 km uphill with a 17% passage!
The LOTTO JUMBO team wins the Chrono, but Julian Alaphilppe and his team Quick Step ranks 2nd! Julian Alaphilppe is 2nd at the overall 16 “behind the leader! A great sign to win the Tour!
To finish the day, a little night ride with the Ikley club and the wheelbase shop! Very Rock and Roll this ride! I will remember it, rain, wind, 12 degrees at night and high speed! Before ending at 9pm in a pub to drink a pint of beer!

Hello London !
After this beautiful week, I finish the weekend on the Tour of Britain for the last stage the final criterium in London!
Thanks to the organization for this invitation it was an opportunity for me to share time with friends, cycling enthusiasts, fans, celebrities, champions and icons! What a fantastic day and what a party around this race 10 years after my victory! It allowed me to meet people from all horizons! A mix of personality in the world’s most melting-pot city!
A quality meeting with Sir Paul Smith! the opportunity to discuss the passion of cycling and fashion, to present my G4 brand and our development and for his part he made us discover his regular places, his favorite hotel and his favorite restaurant around the corner. his shop is not far from the departure of the criterium.
The race takes place around Piccadilly circus an identity place in the heart of London, the crowd gathers to applaud the riders and watch the show! For 2 hours! And it is finally a relief for Julian Alaphilippe the French champion and the best climber of the Tour 2018 who succeeds 10 years after me on the prize list of the Tour of Britain.
3 French riders won this Tour, Romain Feillu in 2007, me in 2008 and so Julian in 2018!
So, I’m going behind the scenes and in the media zone to celebrate its victory and this allows the organization to make a link and to share interviews and photos between 2 French Tour of Britain winners!
Champagne is a must to celebrate the end of this wonderful week!
