The Tour des Frérots, a bike paking ride: Jef and Ludo take up a challenge

Jef and Ludo ready to start their cycling expedition!

Initially, the adventure was supposed to start in Nice and end in Budapest, however due to health restrictions related to the Covid-19 their route has been modified.

Departure on Saturday, September 5 from Puiseaux where their respective families live, direction Loches, then La Rochelle, Saintes, Saint Gonbelan, Ploermel, Flers, Montagne-au-Perché, and finally back to the starting point in Puiseaux on Saturday, September 12.

Our two cyclists tell us about their vacations and cycling adventures.

ADVENTURE

It is with lots of anecdotes and always in a good mood that Jef and Ludo set off on a tour of France.

DAY 1 : Departure from Puiseaux

“An adventure to be redone” Jef is already starting to imagine their next cycling adventure to discover the rest of France and why not abroad if possible.

Beautiful encounters were made during their expedition, especially during the second day of the Tour de France in La Rochelle where our two friends met El Diablo!

DAY 2 : Meeting with El Diablo in La Rochelle

It was a real self-discovery and idyllic French landscapes, Jef even talks about “meditation by bike”.

To sleep, they were lodged each night with a member of their respective family and friends. Only two nights were spent in a hotel, but always without any difficulty.

Direction the family with a nice bouquet of flowers, in  G4 Aero 2.0 bodysuit!

It is also important to choose the right person to accompany you to live unique and unforgettable moments.

“Lulu and I don’t have the same character or temperament, but we share the same passion for cycling. Everything was fluid, we protected each other and we were kind to each other. A look, a smile, a gesture was enough to motivate us and give us the strength to surpass ourselves every day”.

A cycling experience engraved in their memory and in the history of our G4 brand.

DAY 3 : Direction Ploermel

EQUIPMENT

“From day to day the feeling on the bike was unbelievable, I was in great shape thanks to my G4 bib-shorts. We rode 275km long days without even hurting our buttocks! ” confides Jef. He explains to us that he felt a pleasant tiredness as the days went by, and to remedy it the two friends cut the day in two with a small “ravito bakery with a flan, a Coca-Cola and water because in the evening we knew we were going to have a good meal”.

DAY 4 : Direction Brittany with the G4 Prestige cycling outfit.

The choice of clothing is a crucial choice during a trip such as this one where the climate and the type of road can vary. The G4 collections: Instinct, Aero 2.0, Luxe, Prestige, Attitude and Sirocco were traveling with them in a 20-liter satchel each, to offer optimal comfort and supreme lightness.

Cycling jersey, technical shorts, light windproof, cuffs, knee pads, leggings, socks and gloves, Jef and Ludo were equipped with G4 from head to toe!

DAY 5 : Direction Normandy with the cycling outfits Attitude and Instinct and the technical jacket Archange.

Being well equipped to ride is the most important thing to avoid fatigue, irritation and injury. Our outfits have been developed and designed for long distances like this, and our two friends have tested and approved them well!

Thank you Jef and Ludo for your trust and see you soon for a new Tour des frérots!
