My journey around the region continues, for this ride I take you on the splendid roads of the Cap d’Antibes. For my outfit I have chosen the jersey and the bib shorts of the Tropic collection, colorful, it is an ideal outfit for sunny rides on the seaside. On my head I still wear my Giro Synthe helmet, on my feet I have chosen high green socks that match perfectly the colors of my jersey, and finally a pair of black summer gloves very useful to absorb perspiration.
At the start of this ride, I am at the Holiday Inn hotel in Saint-Laurent du Var, the temperature is ideal, the sun is shining, a slight headwind, but it’s a good day to ride.
Let’s go ! Direction the Cap d’Antibes ! From the hotel, it is necessary to take the bike path that leads us to Cagnes-sur-Mer. Always straight on the bike path with the sea on your left, you arrive at the end of Cagnes-sur-Mer, from here you see the Hippodrome Nice Côte d’Azur. After this one we enter the city of Villeneuve-Loubet.
Always on the bike path, you have to go straight along Villeneuve-Loubet on the seaside. We are approaching the “Fort Carré” at the entry to the port of Antibes where you can admire many yachts. Here is the perfect time to take a break in the old town of Antibes to drink and eat something. You can then linger in the pretty streets of the old town, take the height to take pictures of the entire port and the big wheel.
It’s time to get back on the road, always on the seaside go along the beach of La Gravette on a one-way road, continue on this road to the beautiful beach of “La Salis”.
From here we start our tour of Cap d’Antibes by the “Boulevard de la Garoupe”. A magnificent panorama awaits you. Sumptuous roads, villas and hotel, the hotel of Cap-Eden-Roc in particular, which welcomes tourists from around the world and celebrities. Do not forget to take pictures to immortalize the moment. This road that runs along the seaside gives way to many wonderful beaches.
To return you just have to take the same road, to join Villeneuve-Loubet, Cagnes-sur-Mer, and return to Saint-Laurent du Var passing by its pretty port and its alley of restaurants, a sublime place for lunch, a little further we find the Hotel.
Thus ends this wonderful outing under a beautiful sun. And what about my equipment! Let’s start with the colors, a perfect blend of green and yellow for the summer season, a fully black bib shorts with a tropical-patterned stripe to remind the tones of the jersey, bringing a unique look.
