Cannondale Chairside Chats: Moreno Moser (part two)

Yesterday in part one we learnt that Moreno rocks a mean mike, can draw really well and he’s not too shabby on a bike. Today we talk more about Moreno’s style and that magnificent artlessly styled head of hair.

G4: We’ve been asking your team mates and staff who’s the most stylish rider on the team and most think it’s either you or Damiano Caruso. How would you define your style?

MM:  I don’t know but how I dress is really important to me. Maybe not everyone likes it. I know it’s really difficult for people to give me a present of clothes because I have particular tastes and style and prefer to dress in things I’ve chosen. I don’t want to have a particular style. For me, it’s important to mix things, to have something that’s personal to me. People think that one thing defines your style such as if you wear Converse all-star shoes and a black leather jacket you’re like a heavy rock star. For me, I like to put together different pieces to create my own style.

G4: A bit like Geoffroy Lequatre, G4’s own designer?

MM: Sure.

G4: You have admirers outside of the team. A couple of young riders on another team told me they liked your style of “effortless chic”. I think they meant you look good without giving the impression you try too hard or that it’s too contrived. You’re becoming a style icon.

MM: Laughs

G4: So, what do you think about G4’s casual wear for the team?

MM: Yeah, I like it a lot. I like what we’ve had so far. It’s slim-fitting yet comfortable. I like that the trousers on the track suit are narrow not baggy and loose.

G4: Feel free to give Petra and Geoffroy feedback. It’ll be most welcome.
