Cycling collaboration. I first interviewed Geoffroy in early 2012 and was left feeling it was a shame that more of the professional cycling teams hadn’t availed themselves of his undoubted expertise and flair to add that touch of “je ne sais quoi” to their team’s casual clothing.
This is where Cannondale Pro Cycling enters the frame. The team has a reputation for finding and nurturing young talent: think double Grand Tour winner Vincenzo Nibali (now at Astana) or the prodigiously talented Peter Sagan – to name but two. Cannondale team management had noted G4’s designs and its willingness to collaborate on a number of different fronts. They liked what they saw: here was another neo-pro which could prosper with the right encouragement and environment.
Discussions continued through the autumn and were concluded ahead of this year’s first team camps in Italy where the riders and staff expressed their delight at the quality, comfort and design-led range of casual clothes they would be wearing for the next few seasons.
Everyone at G4 is obviously very excited to be working with Cannondale Pro Cycling. It represents a big step forward in the company’s progression and will most certainly increase the company’s global exposure. As the cycling season unfolds G4 will be rolling out additional Cannondale Pro Cycling related leisure products which will be available to buy from the website. G4 will also be featuring exclusive interviews, photos and videos of the Cannondale Pro Cycling riders, staff, other partners and fans right here on the blog.
