The three Gravel routes not to be missed
The Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur offers three areas with marked and complementary geographical differences: the coastline, the Middle Country and the peaks of the High Country. Each area offers unique landscapes and different cycling experiences. G4 has selected for you three cycling tours in these different geographical areas that you must do!
1° Cycling loop : Èze pass (25km)
For the coastline, we have selected the route to reach the famous Èze pass. This route starts from the Port of Nice and crosses the Mont-Boron and Vinaigrier parks, offering unique views of the Villefranche harbor, the Bay of Angels and the city of Nice. The route, which remains a mule track, is a strategic and peaceful itinerary that allows nature lovers to enjoy the views of the Paillon valley in complete tranquility.
2° Middle country cycling itinerary: the tour of Mont Ferion (85km)
The tour of Mont Ferion cycling route is a popular cycling circuit located in the south of France, in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region. It offers an incredible cycling experience through the hills and valleys of the region. Cyclists begin their ascent around Mont Ferion, reaching over 1200 meters in altitude during the course. The climb is quite difficult, but the view of the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea is worth it. The route passes through many villages such as Levens where cyclists can find a number of cafes and restaurants to rest and eat.
3° Back country bicycle route: the 8th of July (56km)
The 8 merveilleux is a 56 km cycling itinerary for 2000m of D+, it is reserved for experienced and trained athletes. It crosses the resorts of Nice Côte d’Azur, Auron and Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage, offering cyclists breathtaking high mountain landscapes. The route is demanding, with technical sections and steep slopes, and requires a good physical condition. The wonderful 8 allows you to enjoy different landscapes and terrains of the region, with a variety of cycling experiences, from steep climbs to faster descents.
