Alberto Bettiol is just 21 years old today and he’s not even the youngest in the Cannondale squad! He’s yet another of their talented neo-pros who attracted team management’s eyes with great results at junior and under-23 level and he’s been honing his craft this year.
Alberto both hails from and lives in Tuscany so we’re sure his mother is going to be cooking up a storm today. We’re adding an addictive, light, but rich, chocolate sponge smothered in uber delicious ganache to the pile of edible goodies – enjoy!
A good all rounder, Alberto has recorded some impressive results in the amateur ranks including becoming the European junior time-trial champion and wins in races such as Giro della Lunigiana, Coppa Mobilio Pobsacco, Coppa del Grano – to name just a few!
We’re sure it won’t be long before he records his first professional victory!
